LEGO Speed Champions could offer no new movie cars in 2024

Rumours of the rest of LEGO Speed Champions' line-up for 2024 suggest that there are no plans for any movie cars this year.

Recent rumours for LEGO Speed Champions from brick_clicker, via exabrickslegogo_, include three more models to add to the three previously revealed and another that has been reported, but not yet officially confirmed. That's a total of seven builds provided the rumours are accurate and that could be the lot for 2024.

LEGO Speed Champions sets usually release in two waves and there's usually an average of eight sets per year, consisting of single packs, double packs and back when the theme started, other kinds of models. Based on rumours and the three revealed sets, it seems that the theme is following that pattern this year.

Every LEGO Speed Champions set confirmed and rumoured for 2024

76925 Aston Martin Double Pack$49.99564June 2024

This could mean, as suggested by the rumoured list, that there are no plans for any movie cars in 2024. The last of this collection to be released was 76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) in 2023, preceded by another for Fast & Furious and one for James Bond in 2022.

That's not to say that the range is finished as we know that there is a 10-year strategy in place, provided that plan is followed. For now, we'll have to wait and see whether or not these rumours are true and if there could still be at least one movie car in the 2024 line-up.

Otherwise, 76920 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, 76921 Audi S1 e-tron quattro and 76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 launch on March 1, 2024.
