Despicable Me producer reacts to LEGO Despicable Me rumour

While LEGO Despicable Me 4 remains a rumour, the producer for the franchise's first movie is excited by the potential for a brick-built Gru's house.

Recent reports suggest that some rumoured LEGO sets for Avatar could now be a new theme for Despicable Me 4 with one model rumoured to depict Gru's house. At the time of writing, these rumours have not been officially confirmed and should be taken with caution.

Reacting to an Instagram post from 1414falconfan sharing the latest rumour, Despicable Me producer John Cohen appears to be excited at the potential for LEGO Despicable Me 4 sets.

This may not be a sign that the rumour is accurate though. The producer for the franchise's original film likely wouldn't be involved in the process of making LEGO sets based on the fourth film, which he isn't working on – he's currently in the process of making the new Garfield movie.

While it's unlikely to be evidence that the LEGO Despicable Me 4 rumours are accurate, it shows that at least one crew member who worked on the original movie is interested in the rumoured theme. At the time of writing, nothing has been confirmed but five sets are rumoured, including one with a reported name.
