This might be why LEGO 71048 Series 27 Wolfpack minifigure is elusive

One LEGO 71048 Series 27 minifigure is proving to be elusive and looking throughout the community, it's not hard to see why it's incredibly popular.

LEGO Castle has been a regular mainstay throughout the Collectible Minifigure Series and 71048 Series 27 continues this tradition with the Wolfpack Beastmaster, following the return of the faction in 10332 Medieval Town Square. With a furry cape, a new Wolf piece and detailed leg printing to boot, it's not hard to see why this minifigure is in demand.

"One Kohl's, two Targets, and three Walmarts later, finally hit the jackpot. Scanned all the figs in the bucket and low and behold, no Wolfpack. Had a very helpful employee go to the back and get a new display out for me, and ended up finding 6 before I stopped scanning. Enough for me and my friends who haven’t been as lucky" writes Joey Hoke on Facebook.

It's still surprising to see just how popular this 71048 Series 27 minifigure has been so far, with many in initial community reactions struggling to find this specific character in their hunt for the 12 new minifigures. Thankfully, tracking down this minifigure can be made quite a bit easier with the Brick Search minifigure scanner app and the Brick Search Plus membership.

You can watch one of our most recent YouTube videos for a closer look at the scanner in action and download Brick Search for iOS or Android devices and become a Brick Search Plus member to get unlimited use of the best-ever minifigure scanner. Before you head out to find the Wolfpack Beastmaster though, some context as to why it's been so popular might be handy.

The LEGO Castle community has seemingly fallen head over heels with the new minifigure with many people making custom Wolfpack members to greatly expand the Wolfpack in the modern age of LEGO Castle. While it only has a handful of members officially in recent years at the time of writing, there are many more from the community.

Some in the community have picked up as many as six Wolfpack Beastmaster minifigures to amass their army and their efforts have not been in vain, depicting some undoubtedly cool custom characters that will work well in any LEGO Castle display. The side effect of gathering a full of the new wolf element is a nice bonus too.

That new wolf element might be tempting, but unfortunately, it's not compatible with the wool piece to make a wolf in sheep's clothing, despite Reddit user doubtfurious' efforts.

These custom minifigures made from 71048 Series 27 also work well with another recent 2025 release. 31161 Medieval Dragon pairs perfectly with anything LEGO Castle, including the Wolfpack Beastmaster as Patrick Peters demonstrates.

With this many custom Wolfpack minifigures coming from 71048 Series 27, it's not entirely surprising to learn that the Wolfpack Beastmaster is one of the most elusive characters in the series. Get Brick Search for iOS or Android devices then upgrade to Brick Search Plus to get unlimited use of the best-ever minifigure scanner to maximise your chances of finding this minifigure.

71048 Series 27 is available now with 12 minifigures to collect for £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99 per box and you can click here for a recap of the Wolfpack's history in LEGO Castle leading up to today. Make some space for an upcoming BrickLink Designer Program set too.
