Max Verstappen has explored the 2025 LEGO Technic Oracle Red Bull car set early, including functions that are all too familiar to the driver.
Before its release on March 1, 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car has been shown to Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen to gauge the driver's reaction to the recreation of a car he’s so familiar with.

The video starts with the four-time world champion demonstrating the LEGO Technic’s set’s removable engine cover to peek at the V6 engine with its moving pistons underneath, simultaneously confirming that the pistons move when the car’s wheels turn – as you would expect.
This isn’t an uncommon feature for LEGO Technic cars with the same elements also featured in three other models in 2024 alone. Still, it’s an authentic function that amazed the Dutchman in the video, as he takes in the details of 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car.
Should anyone know how accurate LEGO Technic 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car is to the real vehicle, it’s one of the team’s drivers and Verstappen even goes as far as to call the set ‘unbelievable’.
The video also serves as a good indicator of the Technic model’s size, in case you were planning to pick up the £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 model when it releases on March 1. Pre-orders are open now in select regions too.
Should the driver (or anyone else) be looking for a smaller recreation of the RB20, LEGO Speed Champions is launching a more affordable option in March too alongside nine other sets. Click here to learn more about the LEGO Formula 1 collaboration from our hands-on interview with a designer.
