Three new LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets revealed

The trio of new LEGO Star Wars March 2026 sets that will debut SMART Play have been revealed, including piece counts and prices.

The LEGO Group's new SMART Play system is launching in early March through a trio of new LEGO Star Wars models, with full details now shared, including what each set can do with the SMART elements inside.

The three sets have been dubbed ‘All-In-One' LEGO Star Wars sets, in that they come with all three of the new SMART elements. This includes the SMART Brick with charger and at least one LEGO SMART Minifigure and LEGO SMART tag. 75421 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter

Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99 Pieces: 473 Release date: March 1, 2026

75421 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is the smallest and most affordable of the newly-revealed trio, including a SMART Darth Vader minifigure. It costs £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99. The 473-piece set features a Rebel Outpost and an Imperial Fueling Station, as well as Darth Vader's TIE Advanced. The electronic elements allow the twin ion engines to come to life, among other interactive functions.

75423 Luke’s Red Five X-wing

Price: £79.99 / $99.99 / €89.99 Pieces: 584 Release date: March 1, 2026

75423 Luke’s Red Five X-wing is next up at £79.99 / $99.99 / €89.99 with 584 pieces. This set includes an Imperial turret, transporter and command centre, all of which have components that unlock interactive features with the included SMART Brick. The features include laser-shooting sounds, engine sounds and lights, as well as refueling and repair sounds. The set includes a SMART Brick, two SMART minifigures and five SMART Tags.

75427 Throne Room Duel & A-wing

Price: £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99 Pieces: 962 Release date: March 1, 2026

The biggest of the trio is 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-wing with 962 pieces for £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99. The throne room scene has play features similar to 7257 Ultimate Lightsaber Duel from 2005. The set comes with three SMART minifigures for Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine and Luke Skywalker. An A-Wing is also included, with SMART features including Lightsaber hums, the engine roar of the A-wing and the Imperial March music with Emperor Palpatine sitting on his throne.
