The Batman Part II faces huge delay

The Batman Part II has been delayed as the sequel to the 2022 movie remains on the schedule alongside a Penguin streaming series.

The Batman Part II has been delayed from October 3, 2025, to October 2, 2026, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter. The year-long delay may not be the most welcome news for DC enthusiasts, though at least you can look forward to the start of James Gunn's DC Cinematic Universe with Superman on July 11, 2025.

This delay should allow some more breathing room between the DC movies, though the original three-month difference may have been adequate.

The first The Batman movie received six tie-in LEGO sets including two from LEGO Technic. None have been confirmed for the sequel at the time of writing but don't expect any until 2026 now.

Whether this delay will affect the upcoming Penguin streaming series set in Matt Reeves' Batman universe coming to HBO Max has not been confirmed. The official HBO Max website has it listed for release in 2024 but it could be moved to 2025 and still arrive before the sequel now.
