While these guides may be helpful to a degree, they don't take into account the possibility that slightly different amounts of glue may have been applied to each box during production. More data, including weighing empty boxes to see if the amount of glue is a potential issue, may change this, but keep it in mind and take the guides with at least some caution when you're looking for dozens of the returning LEGO goat.
This method of telling apart the blind-boxed minifigures is essentially as reliable as it was for
Thankfully, this may not be an issue forever as the LEGO Group has addressed frustrations and issues surrounding the packaging, though they've stated that any possible change that may happen won’t be seen for at least a few more waves. No changes are confirmed at the time of writing, but it appears that isn't off the table entirely.
