Sonic the Hedgehog remembers LEGO Ideas set amid rumours of theme

The latest episode of an official Sonic the Hedgehog video series remembers the LEGO Ideas partnership and follows rumours of a full theme. 

Episode four of TailsTube, an animated series featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise discussing various topics, references 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone. 

The original project’s fan designer, Viv Grannell, highlighted the Easter egg on Twitter as Tails has a file related to LEGO Ideas on his desktop. 

It’s a fun reference to the LEGO Ideas model, which is still available with its retirement currently slated for the end of 2023. 

Rumour of a full theme for Sonic the Hedgehog and BrickHeadz surfaced earlier this year, though as the file reads LEGO Ideas, it seems likely to be just a reference to the official set. Despite this, it’s interesting to see the partnership remembered a year after 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone launched.
