The Walmart Collector Con countdown has finished, the event is here, and… there are no new LEGO Star Wars 2024 sets to go with it.
Expectation was that the US retailer would be revealing a couple of new LEGO Star Wars May 2024 sets today, in line with 2023’s event (which saw the debut of 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter and 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer). That was further corroborated by reliable Instagram user maxbautde, who also suggested that two of this year’s May the 4th releases would be unveiled today.
It now looks like the entire range of Walmart Collector Con products was already revealed earlier this week, however, with no new surprises on the cards for today. The countdown to the start of the con on the Walmart website finished at 2pm GMT, but the LEGO section of the landing page only features already-revealed sets (such as 76298 Iron Spider-Man Construction Figure).
An email from Walmart’s PR association suggests more product drops will happen at 2pm GMT tomorrow (March 15), but only mentions Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWE and AEW. It’s not looking especially likely that we’re going to see anything brand new from the LEGO Group, then – which means we could be waiting up to another month to see the LEGO Star Wars May 2024 range.
Still, you never know what could happen as Walmart Collector Con progresses – some brands are holding livestreams, for example – so keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for any updates.
