Six LEGO GWPs we'd like from the latest LEGO Ideas challenge

A LEGO Ideas challenge is underway looking for the next gift-with-purchase with almost no restrictions and there are appealing entries already.

After opening just over one week ago, over 140 entries have been submitted to the new LEGO Ideas GWP challenge. The challenge is looking for models based on an original idea using between 150 and 250 pieces but otherwise, there are no restrictions.

This combination of rules has led to some of the most interesting and appealing gift-with-purchase concepts seen in LEGO Ideas challenges so far, and one of them will be a future LEGO GWP. Here are six that have caught our eye.

6 – In Case of Emergency

GabKremo's entry proposes an emergency brick separator kit including a hammer to smash the plastic panes or attempt to as the box can be opened without breaking the build. The provided hook means that the model can be hung on a wall too for easy access while building.

5 – Neon Sunset

H.Scorpio's Neon Sunset uses an array of bright colours with dark pieces for a contrasting postcard-style display that might remind you of 21340 Tales of the Space Age.

4 – Greebled LEGO Logo

As a homage to a popular building technique and a scaled depiction of a model featured in the LEGO House, Jackettie's Greebled LEGO Logo uses a varied mix of pieces to uniquely capture the iconic logo.

LEGO Builder's organiser

Also proposed a tool for assisting in building is the LEGO Builder's Organiser by Mr Sci-Fi with a stand for holding instructions, trays for pieces and a space for eight minifigures as well as a brick separator. It's a concept that would pair perfectly with any LEGO set, while you're building it.

2 – Dice Castle Tower

ZanMocs appears to be eager for 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale as they've proposed a functional dice tower – something not yet seen officially in either the LEGO Ideas set or 5008325 Mimic Dice Box.

For fantasy or LEGO Castle enthusiasts, Journeyman's Tale by OfficerDynamicBoat102 may have your vote as it offers a slice of a medieval world on a stylish base that could be the start of a collection of LEGO GWPs exploring different themes.
