Another LEGO store is coming to Manchester as a Trafford Centre retail location has been announced, the second of its kind.
The Trafford Centre in Manchester is currently home to a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, with its own store at the exit of the attraction. This is located in Trafford Palazzo (formerly Barton Square), which is a notable walk away from the main Trafford Centre building.
As reported by Manchester World, the shopping centre is to receive a second LEGO store soon, complete with a Pick and Build wall, a minifigure tower and the usual hands-on play opportunities. Where it will be located has not been confirmed.
“We’ve been searching for the perfect location to open a second store in Greater Manchester and are thrilled to have found this within Trafford Centre," explained Amy Pearson, Director of EMEA Marketing at the LEGO Group.
“The new LEGO store will allow builders of all ages to be inspired by the endless play opportunities LEGO has to offer. This store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our tenured LEGO community and new builders alike, welcoming them to an exciting journey of discovery with the LEGO universe.”
“We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming the LEGO Store to Trafford Centre. As a family-friendly retail and leisure destination, we’re confident that guests of all ages will love immersing themselves in this fun and colourful store," commented Simon Layton, Centre Director at Trafford Centre.
An opening date has not been announced at the time of writing, but reports suggest an opening this winter. This is likely to be a standard LEGO store as opposed to the various flagship locations and the massive store coming to Australia.
