The Italian plumber could be getting additional sets in 2023 as piece counts and prices for LEGO Super Mario start to emerge online.
Christmas may still be months away but that doesn't stop us looking towards 2023. Particularly as more rumours of what the LEGO Group might be bringing us in the new year start to filter through. The latest information to appear from Stonewars suggests that we may be seeing a range of small to mid-sized sets added to the Super Mario theme.
Super Mario, which offers a combination of traditional building and electronic gameplay, allows players to build 3D game levels and then populate it with heroes and villains from the world-famous Nintendo franchise. Some larger Super Mario sets are display pieces, such as 71411 The Mighty Bowser and 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block, and they contain thousands of pieces and cost well into three figures. But the prices that have been rumoured suggest smaller scale gameplay sets. You can see all the information in the table below.
| Set name | Price | Pieces | Release date |
| 71413 Character Packs Series 6 | €5.99 | 52 | January 2023 |
| 71414 TBC | €14.99 | 130 | January 2023 |
| 71415 TBC | €24.99 | 105 | January 2023 |
| 71416 TBC | €34.99 | 218 | January 2023 |
| 71417 TBC | €64.99 | 567 | January 2023 |
| 71418 TBC | €59.99 | 588 | January 2023 |
| 71419 TBC | €49.99 | Tbc | January 2023 |
Previous sets at or around the €24.99 mark have included sets such as 71397 Luigi's Mansion Lab and Poltergust or 71405 Fuzzy Flippers. Meanwhile, at the upper end of the rumoured list, €60 - €65 has seen introductory sets like 71360 Adventures with Mario or 71403 Adventures with Peach, or add-on sets like 71400 Big Urchin Beach Ride.
This is all still rumour at present, so wait until there's an official announcement from the LEGO Group before making a space in your Super Mario setup.
