Rumours online highlight further details about possible LEGO Ideas sets in 2023, perhaps hinting at a huge year for the theme.
While the three set names were already rumoured to be on their way, itavix on Instagram now reports potential prices, piece counts, and release windows, sourced via Promobricks. 21338 A-Frame Cabin will reportedly be the largest of the sets, at 2,082 pieces, reflecting its highest price tag of $179.99. This would be the first one to come in 2023, queued up for February.
Next up in March of 2023 could be 21339 BTS - Dynamite, selling for $99.99 with a piece count of 749. Just two months after that in May comes 21340 Tales of the Space Age, the cheapest of the sets. You'd pay $49.99 for this 688-piece model.
Judging by these potential release dates, the first four LEGO Ideas sets rumoured for 2023 are all releasing in the first few months of the year. Could this mean that we're in for a year of several LEGO Ideas sets? At the rate of one almost every other month from May onwards, that could bring us up to a total of seven or even eight.
With another four LEGO Ideas approved in the last review round, it's entirely possible. Here's a reminder of the rumoured sets we've heard about so far.
| LEGO set | Price | Pieces | Release date |
|---|---|---|---|
| 21338 A-Frame Cabin | $179.99 | 2,082 | February 2023 |
| 21339 BTS – Dynamite | $99.99 | 749 | March 2023 |
| 21340 Tales of the Space Age | $49.99 | 688 | May 2023 |
| 21341 Viking Village | TBC | TBC | TBC 2023 |
Of course, these rumours need to be taken with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group. Until then, here's a round-up of every LEGO rumour you need to know about.
