Rumoured LEGO Technic set name marks return to iconic racing franchise

LEGO Technic is rumoured to be returning to an iconic racing franchise in 2025, as details for 2025 LEGO sets continue to trickle in.

Previous rumours have already outlined an expected 10 LEGO Technic sets coming in the first quarter of 2025 and now reliable Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat reports a rumoured set name for one March set: 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4. This marks a return to the iconic cars from Fast and Furious, with LEGO Technic already touching on the movie series with 42111 Dom's Dodge Charger, for example.

While the Charger is perhaps the most well-known car from Fast and Furious, the Toyota Supra MK4 was the first signature car of Brian O'Conner. When he needed a vehicle to repay Dom – and not just any vehicle but one to outdo a ten-second car – Brian found a rusted Supra in a junkyard. In universe, Dom and his crew spend between $15,000 and $20,000 restoring it (in reality it took closer to $100,000).

We'd assume the LEGO Technic set would be in its restored form. It's said to be 200 pieces shy of the retired 42111 Dom's Dodge Charger, so likely won't be to the same scale but the pair will still inevitably need to be displayed together if you own the 2020 LEGO set, recreating the iconic dash in front of a moving train that bonded Dom and Brian.

Of course, we won't know for sure if 42204 Fast and Furious Toyota Supra MK4 is on its way until we get an official reveal or confirmation from the LEGO Group. For now, we'll content ourselves with the growing list of rumoured LEGO Technic set for 2025 below.
