The retiring LEGO sets I'm watching before 2025 is over

With hundreds of LEGO sets retiring before the end of 2025, there are a few that I've got my eyes on weekly, if not daily, before their time is up.

As Brick Fanatics' resident expert on all things retiring LEGO sets, I've got my eyes on a few models due to leave shelves by the end of the year. Whether I'm hoping to find a decent discount on them, am trying to justify a purchase at all, or am curious to see what 2026 holds, here are the builds I'm keeping an eye on over the next two and a half months.

My number one priority when it comes to the LEGO sets retiring at the end of 2025 is finding a decent discount on 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle. I picked up 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle with a 30% reduction in 2024, hoping to find a similar saving on its larger companion set. Savings on the model earlier this year were easier to find, but I had other priorities at the time and was hoping for some good end-of-year discounts.

While Amazon UK has just discounted the set by 20%, I'm hoping to save at least 25% on this build, but at this rate, Black Friday is going to be my last hope.

I'm only looking out for one other retiring LEGO set on sale before the end of 2025, and that's 10391 Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams. While the movie-inspired set won't be to everyone's tastes, there's much of the model that appeals to me. From the striking shuttle contrasted with that rainbow trail on the dynamic display stand to the generous array of flesh-coloured minifigure heads that can be used to customise the citizens of LEGO modular buildings, the only reason I have yet to jump on this build is for how Piece by Piece was received.

As impressively artistic as it was, the most recent LEGO movie didn't make waves at the box office, earning $10.7 million worldwide. Whatever the budget, that's not a huge amount, and I hoped that this would result in the film's corresponding set seeing some discounts before its retirement. The LEGO Insiders Days 2025 £20 discount was tempting, but I'm aiming for closer to 30% off. This will be my second set to watch as Black Friday approaches, with deals on the build nowhere to be seen otherwise.

The sets remaining on my retiring LEGO set wishlist are those that I'm either still on the fence about, need to see more of the LEGO Group's plans for 2026 to make a decision on, or have not found the right moment to pick them up.

40793 Tom & Jerry Figures and 40650 Land Rover Classic Defender fit into that latter category, as I aim to use smaller builds such as these to get me over gift-with-purchase thresholds. The quality of the models and the icons they cover has convinced me to make a purchase; I'm just waiting for the perfect chance to grab them.

60408 Car Transporter Truck with Sports Cars needs further deliberation. On the one hand, the community has done an excellent job of modifying the set to fit Speed Champions vehicles, but on the other most designs require dismantling the three stylish cars. I almost wish that the trio of vehicles were available separately.

71821 Cole's Titan Dragon Mech is in a similar camp. NINJAGO has been a huge part of my life, and I've been enjoying the adult-leaning sets, as discussed in our latest YouTube video. Since mechs will always be an aspect of NINJAGO, and with the 15th anniversary coming next year, I'd like to see what else is planned for the theme before I dive straight into this specific set.

Those are the builds that have caught my eye and will be on my mind weekly, if not daily, before 2025 is through. Hopefully, my factors of what is coming next year, what is likely to be discounted, and when to buy the builds will help inspire your own wishlists. Whatever the case, don't forget that there's only two full months left in the year.
