More potential LEGO Star Wars projects teased by Jedi Bob himself

The voice actor behind the animated face of Jedi Bob has teased the prospect of more potential projects with the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy character.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past dropped on Disney+ last year, with the animated sequel series bringing with it eight new episodes set in an alternate version of a very familiar brick-built universe far, far away. Now comes word from Jedi Bob voice actor Bobby Moynihan himself that more projects featuring the character just might possibly be on the way at some point.

In an interview with ScreenRant, SNL alum Bobby talked about his enjoyment of working on LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy and the potential that Bobarian Afol, better known to fans as Jedi Bob, might be appearing again in the future.

“Oh, I would do anything with those guys,” said Bobby, most likely referring to LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy showrunners Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. Yeah, hopefully. Yeah, there may be some stuff coming (makes whisper motion to the camera). Jedi Bob means a lot to me. That was a very special experience. Hopefully that's not the last we see of Jedi Bob. Live-action Jedi Bob is what I need. Little claw hands, little LEGO claw hands.

“If that ever happens, now I'm realizing if Jedi Bob ever goes live-action, I have to be yellow and I have to have just two claw hands. I can't have normal hands.”

While no official plans have been revealed so far for a third LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy series, the two existing animated outings are currently sitting at 100% ratings each on Rotten Tomatoes, with a follow-up series likely to be all but guaranteed.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy and LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past are both available for Disney+ subscribers to stream right now. Those looking to pick up a physical minifigure of Bobby's character can always grab a copy of 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter, although do note that the LEGO Star Wars set is due to finally retire on July 31, 2026.
