The LEGO Group has released official images for the upcoming BIONICLE GWP, 40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua.
The promotional model will be free to pick up when you spend £90 / $100 / €100 or more on LEGO sets. A throwback to the days of LEGO BIONICLE, the GWP includes a pair of buildable classic construction characters. We already had a good idea of what Tahu and Takua would look like from building instructions, but now we can see the set in all its glory in the official images on the LEGO website listing.
Made from 219 pieces, the duo are armed with a fire sword and a disc thrower and designed for display on a lava display stand, as if the pair were standing before a brick-built version of the Mangai volcano.
At 13 cm high and 6 cm wide, this rendition of two of the most popular characters from the theme will make an easy addition to any existing BIONICLE collection, or make for a handy first foray into it for anyone not yet with a BIONICLE build in their collection.
40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua will be available from January 27, 2023. There are currently three LEGO GWPs that can be obtained from the official online store and in-stores, with 40575 Year of the Rabbit, 40583 Houses of the World 1, and 40605 Lunar New Year VIP Add-On Pack all set to expire on January 25, 2023.
