My LEGO March 2026 shopping plans for a new home

My LEGO March 2026 shopping plans for a new home

With the launch of LEGO Pokémon, the arrival of new sets, and a major life change, my LEGO March 2026 shopping list is budget-conscious.

We're hours away from the release of the many March 1, 2026, sets and just off the back of LEGO Pokémon's launch yesterday. That's not to mention the recent gifts-with-purchase that arrived alongside LEGO Pokémon. It's a good time to be a LEGO fan, and usually, this would be the time for my first big LEGO order of the year. A major life change has shifted my typical plans, though.

Since I'm currently in the process of moving into my first home, my usual LEGO shopping priorities have changed. With multiple rooms' worth of furniture still to be purchased, including a lot of LEGO shelving, my non-essential purchases this month are going to be minimal. That said, I am allowing myself one LEGO order, all priced out and ready for tomorrow morning.

Usually, I would use this first order of the year to catch up on January models, and anything retiring to get the current gifts-with-purchase, but I can't resist joining the LEGO Pokémon train early, and investing in some brick-built decoration for the house.

I don't find myself overly interested in most of the new Pokémon models, and while I was originally interested in 40911 Mini Pokémon Centre, I'm hoping for a larger version down the line. That just leaves me with the £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 72151 Eevee, which I was pleased to see receive so much praise from another member of the Brick Fanatics team.

I always planned to wait a few days after 72151 Eevee was released to pick up the most adorable of the Pokémon models, and the current gift-with-purchase has seemingly rewarded my patience. After reviewing 21376 Orange Cat recently, I'm looking forward to sitting Eevee next to the feline in my new home in some shelving dedicated to all of my adorable animal-based LEGO sets.

Speaking of cute LEGO creations, I have been ecstatic for 21366 Floating Sea Otters ever since it was pitched on LEGO Ideas, and was personally hoping that it would be made more accurate to sea otters in the final design. The March 2026 LEGO Ideas model is one of my favourites of the year so far, and I have the perfect spot for it in my first home.

I still have the full LEGO City harbour diorama built, and have been waiting to display it proudly in my new home. I'm planning to feature it at the bottom of a glass coffee table, combining it with other decorations to create a subtle aquatic theme in my living room.

On top of that coffee table is where 21366 Floating Sea Otters will sit. As a fairly flat set, the model won't block views of the room on top of the table, but its adorable nature will be enough of a talking point. At £99.99 / $119.99 / €109.99, this set and 72151 Eevee will put me close to the threshold for 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan, at £160 / $180 / €180.

I'm glad that the LEGO building gift-with-purchase collections have shifted away from microscale models and towards something which I can use in my upcoming modular city display. I've got space for a few stalls of this size and would like to integrate one such stall into my modular refit of 60469 Central Train Station. Whether that will be 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan or one of the other three sets in the range is still up for debate, but I'd like to add this one to my collection either way.

You might have noticed that I'm just £5.02 off the threshold for 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan, and while I would like to pick up 854331 Dragonborn Paladin Key Chain at some point (I want whatever LEGO D&D content I can get my hands on), I'll be adding 40798 Red Panda Mei to my basket tomorrow instead. The BrickHeadz model is based on Turning Red, a personal favourite animated movie, and is currently 40% off in the UK, or £5.99.

Together, this will put me just over the threshold for 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan while scoring some must-have LEGO models to decorate my first home. After that, my March 2026 LEGO purchases will need to be nonexistent.
