LEGO Horizon Adventures' reveal has some hoping for more LEGO PlayStation games, applying the LEGO game formula to familiar franchises.
When it launches this holiday season, LEGO Horizon Adventures will become the first full LEGO game to be based on an existing game instead of the likes of a movie, a TV series or a LEGO theme.
The PlayStation blog details that the story will revolve around Aloy embarking on a quest to discover her true destiny and confronting Helis, the leader of a group of sun worshipers who bow to an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery. This is a retelling of the first game – Horizon: Zero Dawn – though we'll have to see just how in-depth the plot of the LEGO game is in comparison. The gameplay is reminiscent of the original LEGO games but with an entirely brick-built world similar to LEGO Bricktales.
Still, it demonstrates how the new LEGO title is applying the LEGO game formula to another video game instead of a movie for the first time in history, outside of smaller experiences in LEGO Dimensions. The ongoing partnership with PlayStation could open the door for more LEGO PlayStation Adventures games in the future too, as some fans are already hoping for.
LEGO God of War Adventures

As many enthusiasts have pitched previously, including some who have been recognized by developers Santa Monica Studio, LEGO God of War Adventures would be an obvious pick for the next LEGO PlayStation Game, taking the violent adventures of Kratos and Atreus and applying a family-friendly filter through a LEGO lens, as strange as it would undoubtedly be.
LEGO InFamous Adventures

InFamous' cast of powered characters equipped with smoke, neon, electricity powers and more could make for some fun LEGO gameplay and the cityscapes commonly featured in the series would differ greatly compared to the levels seen in LEGO Horizon Adventures.
LEGO The Last of Us Adventures

While transforming God of War into a LEGO game would be a challenge, it would arguably be nothing compared to The Last of Us. The post-apocalyptic series features enemies much different from those in Horizon – infected humans turned into ravenous monsters. Still, it would certainly be interesting to see how the core elements of the first game would transition to a LEGO game – fending off the infected using fungicides and weed killer for instance.
LEGO Uncharted Adventures

Uncharted could be transformed into a LEGO game much more easily than the likes of God of War and The Last of Us and the treasure-hunting series lends itself well to the formula of standalone brick-built levels with puzzles to solve, enemies to avoid or beat and collectables to gather. It worked for the LEGO Indiana Jones games.
LEGO Marvel's Spider-Man Adventures
While it would require significantly more discussions with partners, a LEGO Marvel's Spider-Man would be a welcome release in the future. There have been many Marvel LEGO games but one focusing specifically on Spider-Man and exploring how to recreate his moves and abilities with more resources and time could be interesting to see. The LEGO Group already have two limited-edition minifigures based on the franchise too.
