More images of LEGO Technic January 2025 sets land online

The complete wave of LEGO Technic January 2025 sets is now listed on the official online store, offering even more images of what’s right around the corner for the LEGO Group’s most complex theme.

The LEGO Group is slowly but surely adding product listings for its entire January 2025 assortment to LEGO.com in time for New Year’s Day, when more than 100 different sets will arrive in stores. Several of those are already available to pre-order, including a handful of the next wave of LEGO Technic sets, which have just gone live online.

As well as confirmation of their prices around the world, we now have many more images of these sets – originally revealed by third-party retailers – to enjoy and pore over. Check them all out below.

42197 Backhoe Loader

Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 Pieces: 104 Release date: January 1, 2025

The smallest and cheapest LEGO Technic 2025 set (so far) offers a neat entry point for kids just getting to grips with this theme, yet still manages to pack in a few functions, including a scoop that can be raised and lowered using a knob and a rear digger. There are also deployable outriggers, though those look to just be a couple of Technic beams. But hey – it works at this scale.

42198 Bush Plane

A little leap in budget brings us to 42198 Bush Plane, a 333-piece set that incorporates a spinning propeller, adjustable ailerons and a four-cylinder piston engine. These smaller LEGO Technic sets may not boast the scope and size of their larger counterparts, but they’re often still interesting builds, and this looks no different.

42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back

One of two new Monster Jam sets racing on to shelves in 2025, this pull-back car also happens to be the first LEGO Technic model with JCB branding. Maybe a fully-licensed backhoe loader will follow on from the smaller set up above? For now, set your sights on 42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back for a monster truck with bite.

42200 Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back

Speaking of bitey trucks: here’s 42200 Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back, a dino-inspired racing truck that doesn’t skimp on teeth. It’s another pull-back toy from which younger builders will probably get plenty of mileage, especially if and when it’s paired with 42199 Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back.

42201 Deep-Sea Research Submarine

One of the more unusual LEGO Technic sets in recent memory, 42201 Deep-Sea Research Submarine takes its aesthetic cues from recent LEGO City sets and features an opening cockpit, extending grabber arm, steering and three propellers that spin in harmony. There’s also a barrel accessory to pick up with the arm.

42202 Ducati Panigale V4 S Motorcycle

42202 Ducati Panigale V4 S Motorcycle has already been on LEGO.com for quite a while, but in the interests of a comprehensive list we’ve republished the images here again. This is the biggest and most expensive LEGO Technic set launching in January, coming in at the same scale as 42130 BMW M 1000 RR and 42159 Yamaha MT-10 SP.
