Following on from rumours at the end of last year, more evidence is stacking up that the LEGO x NIKE partnership could be coming up.
Rumours reported via the usually reliable Instagram user fateful_04 suggested that reveals for what the partnership between the LEGO Group and NIKE could involve would be coming in May 2025. Now, with May just a few weeks away, a product certification page for a product titled LBC M&T Olympus - Basketball Hoop has been published by the LEGO Group.
M&T has been used in the past to refer to products for Make & Take events, typically hosted in LEGO stores where visitors can build a small set and take it home with them for free. This suggests that a brick-built basketball hoop could be featured in an upcoming Make & Take event.
Of course, that's not clear proof that this could be related to NIKE but it would make sense. The sports brand has a long association with basketball and a Make & Take event would be a fun way to kick off the new partnership.
We'll just have to wait and see if and when any LEGO x NIKE products are fully revealed – and indeed what they actually are. In the meantime, here's some thoughts on what the partnership needs to nail, learning from past collaborations.
