Life-size LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4 officially revealed 

LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna has been officially recreated as a life-size model built from 400,000 bricks.

The LEGO Group and McClaren have both been celebrating the life of legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna in 2024, to mark his 30-year legacy. That’s included the release of 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna earlier this year, a recent LEGO Ideas challenge and a bespoke one-off Senna livery for the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix.

In addition, McLaren's official social media accounts have now revealed images of a life-size recreation of the McLaren MP4/4, constructed from a staggering 400,000 LEGO bricks. The huge model reportedly took more than 700 combined hours to assemble, which is definitely a lot longer than it would take you to build the 693-piece LEGO Icons set.

The 1:1 scale McLaren MP4/4 looks to include many of the features of its smaller cousin, such as various sponsor logos (still no Marlboro though), small wing mirrors, chunky tyres, a detailed cockpit with steering wheel, iconic rear spoiler and much more.

There are currently no details available as to exactly where LEGO racing fans will be able take a close-up look at the life-size McLaren MP4/4, but display models of this scale are usually part of various touring or promotional events.
