LEGO's first Star Trek set is just over a month too early

The LEGO Group's first Star Trek set is long-awaited, but it's launching a month ahead of what would have been the ideal release date.

10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D marks the LEGO Group's first foray into Star Trek at long last, scheduled to be released on November 28, 2025, retailing at £349.99 in the UK, $399.99 in the US, and from €379.99 in Europe. This launch date is coming up fast, but Star Trek fans might recognise that it's just over a month ahead of an even more ideal release window.

Not to make you feel old, but Star Trek is celebrating its 60th anniversary throughout 2026 via various products and partnerships, with the new LEGO set falling under the latter on the official announcement post. Had the set been saved for any time in 2026, it would have been released during the 60th anniversary, rather than just being available. The latter option isn't at all a bad thing, though.

As early as the set is compared to the 60th anniversary, the upside to the Black Friday release date is that 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D will now be available on shelves for all of the anniversary year, though the exclusive 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod gift-with-purchase will have run out long before January 1, 2026.

Whether the LEGO Group has any further plans to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of Star Trek in 2026 has yet to be confirmed, but at least there will be a massive LEGO model on shelves all year, even if it is launching just over a month ahead of the anniversary year. Thankfully, there's quite a lot planned for the anniversary year aside from the LEGO set, and it will definitely be available from the start to the end of the anniversary year.

LEGO Icons 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D will be available to buy from November 28, 2025, retailing at £349.99 in the UK, $399.99 in the US, and from €379.99 in Europe.
