Five football legends have lined up to help kick off the promotional campaign for the upcoming LEGO Editions 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy.
This year’s World Cup tournament will be celebrated by the LEGO Group in the shiny shape of 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, the first release from the new LEGO Editions theme. To help promote this summer's upcoming sporting event and the launch of the set, the company has turned to five of the greatest football players the beautiful game has even seen.
The LEGO Group’s social media accounts have posted images and videos from a recent shoot with Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Iker Casillas, Sami Khedira and Marco Materazzi, as they all eagerly line up to get their hands on 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy.

“Winning the FIFA World Cup was one of the most incredible moments of my life,” said Roberto Carlos, “and I’ll never forget what it felt like to hold that trophy. I know we couldn’t have achieved it without our amazing fans and what this trophy means to them. Now, with the LEGO World Cup Trophy set, fans can create their own version and bring that magic home. This isn’t just about building a trophy; it’s about sharing the love of football with family and friends.”
The behind-the-scenes video for 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy shows the players gathering around and picking up the LEGO Editions build, with Cafu receiving laughter from his peers when he accidently breaks a piece of the set off.
“It is a unique moment in the life of the player to be able to lift this trophy that is worth a lot to our career and wish the title for your country,” explains Roberto Carlos. That sentiment is echoed by Sami Khedira who goes on to say, “Everybody’s dreaming about winning this wonderful trophy. The young kids can build it on their own and hold it.”

During the video, it’s also revealed that 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy contains more than we originally thought. While we knew that the globe of the model opened up to show a brick-built 2026 World Cup logo, branded minifigure and mini trophy element, those aren’t the only surprises inside.
43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy also includes an alternative backdrop for the interior scene, with a podium for the mini trophy to sit on and at least two large World Cup Legends elements featuring images of Roberto Carlos and Cafu on them.
It’s not known at this stage if those are printed or stickered pieces, or if elements representing more international players will also be included with 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, but we’ll find out for sure when we finally get our hands on the LEGO Editions model.
43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy will launch on March 1, 2026, with the 2,842-piece LEGO Editions set priced at £159.99 in the UK, $199.99 in the US and €179.99 in Europe.
