New LEGO Winter Village set shows we need more post offices

The latest LEGO Winter Village set is adding to a limited selection of location-based builds that the LEGO Group has sorely needed to expand.

The curtain has been lifted on 10339 Santa’s Post Office, which will be joining the LEGO Winter Village later this year. The whimsical location comes with a letter-sorting system, a hot air balloon and more and it proves that the LEGO Group needs to make more post offices.

Brick Fanatics’ Matthew takes a much closer look at the latest seasonal offering in our brand-new YouTube video. That includes a comparison with the last LEGO Winter Village post office and an investigation into where all these LEGO letters head off to.

2011’s Winter Village Post Office fits squarely on the grounded side of the collection whereas the 2024 model is much more at home with the other fantastical sets. It's been a while since the festive range had a post office and even beyond the collection, a fully-fledged LEGO post office isn’t a common occurrence.

10339 Santa’s Post Office won’t quite fit anywhere beyond the LEGO Winter Village though with its giant and colourful hot air balloon. Residents of the Winter Village are spoilt for choice when it comes to sending packages now though. It makes you wonder what a more realistic post office LEGO set would look like, especially based on different regions.

10339 Santa’s Post Office will be on shelves from October 1 for LEGO Insiders or October 4 widely, for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99, ready for your annual LEGO Winter Village displays. Click here to read our report on the official reveal of the new set.
