Fans of Gene Wilder’s 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory will probably be having a sugar rush this week, following the official reveal of the 68th LEGO Ideas set.
The LEGO Ideas set is packed with tasty treats, such as its hand-cranked chocolate waterfall, a boat designed by one of the LEGO Speed Champions team, a variety of brick-built confectionery and plenty of delicious secrets to uncover, but it’s also one that includes a minor mistake.

Step 394 of the included instruction manual for the LEGO Ideas set shows the white stern of the boat firmly in place, which then mysteriously vanishes in step 395 on the next page (when adding the red seats), only to reappear again in step 396.
That specific error was brought up in a recent roundtable interview for
“Yeah, we do,” stated LEGO Ideas Design Manager Jordan David Scott when asked if he knew about the visual error. “I think some people are aware of it, so it’s being investigated.”
It’s worth noting that the slight hiccup in the instruction manual doesn’t interfere in the building process in any way, but the stern's omission in one step may cause confusion to some when assembling

Small mistakes can often creep into even finished LEGO sets, but this is one that will most likely be potentially rectified in future copies of the upcoming LEGO Ideas build.
