More LEGO Transformers are rumoured for 2025, now from a reliable source, and it doesn’t just have to include giant articulated figures.
Following an initial rumour, reliable Instagram user a.clay.brick is now backing up reports that the LEGO Transformers partnership will continue next year. So far, the collection includes 10302 Optimus Prime and 10338 Bumblebee but the question of what another build would be is worth raising in light of this rumour.
The obvious answer is more figures of specific characters that can transform, and should this rumour be accurate it seems certain that at least one more of those is on the way. Hopefully, it’s finally a Decepticon.
That’s not all that LEGO Transformers could cover though, but it depends on whether the LEGO Group would be interested in expanding beyond figures in the future. Of course, no further LEGO Transformers sets are officially confirmed at the time of writing and all rumours should be taken with caution.
The LEGO Helmet Collection across Star Wars, Marvel and DC is rumoured to return in 2025 via two new builds. Given the inorganic nature of LEGO pieces and the collection so far, robotic and man-made helmets and heads are best suited for this range.

That just so happens to fit Transformers characters perfectly. Should the rumours of the Helmet Collection returning in 2025 be accurate, an Optimus Prime or Megatron head sculpture could be a fantastic way to represent a character. For the latter, a buildable figure may be challenging due to the subjects of his transformed forms, but a helmet would still include him in the partnership.
Alternatively, a trial of non-transforming LEGO Transformers sets may be in order. These would depict only the vehicle forms of Autobots and Decepticons alike in the style of LEGO Speed Champions. This would be an unusual twist for the partnership, but the online community has already been inspired by Speed Champions to recreate cars from Transformers movies and they may be more affordable than the current sets to boot.
As part of the Hasbro partnership, inspiration could be taken from the other toy company’s merchandise too. For instance, Transformers minifigures with a scaled-down Ark would be an interesting expansion of the LEGO Transformers range. Part of the set may still be able to transform, as alanyuppie on Rebrickable has devised as an alternate build of 31129 Majestic Tiger.
While LEGO Transformers’ rumoured future seems most likely to take the form of the transforming figures that we’re used to, it’s not the only path the partnership could take in the years to come. For now, nothing is confirmed, and all rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially given how chaotic the rumour mill has been as of late.
