LEGO Tile Studio experience spreads to more LEGO Stores

Following an initial pilot trial in 2022, the LEGO Tile Studio experience is now being rolled out across a handful of additional LEGO Stores in the UK and US.

Back in 2022, the flagship LEGO Store in Amsterdam ran a pilot program for an all-new interactive experience. The LEGO Tile Studio allowed visitors to create custom designs on bricks, similar to the process used to print on LEGO Minifigure Factory torsos.

Following initial testing, all then went quiet regarding the LEGO Tile Studio experience, but now it’s returned and is starting to pop up in more LEGO Stores, albeit for a limited time. Although apparently still in a trial phase, those who pop into three participating locations can try their hands at creating their own LEGO tiles with custom designs.

The trial is currently running until July 13, 2025 and can be found at both the LEGO Store Birmingham Bullring Shopping Centre and Leicester Square in the UK and at least one location in the US at Disney Springs. Options include the ability to make a 6-stud brick keychain, unique store names, shop signs for buildings and even car licence plates.

A quick call to the LEGO Store Birmingham Bullring Shopping Centre confirmed that the LEGO Tile Studio experience is priced at £10.99 in the UK for a tile with your name on it, one tile measuring four studs long and two studs wide, plus one tile measuring four studs long and one stud wide.

Designing the tiles is said to be accomplished on the same in-store touch screen interface used to create and print custom LEGO Minifigure Factory torsos and staff will be on hand to talk visitors through the process.

Options in the initial trial included predesigned backgrounds, custom drawings, stickers and text, with the ability to add images to a total of three tiles matching the sizes of the pieces mentioned above, all for €7.99.

If you’re interested in checking out the LEGO Tile Studio experience in person, you’re probably best off keeping an eye on your local retail location in advance to find out whether they’ll be participating in the limited time event at some point in the future.
