LEGO Stores hosting free UFO make and take event this weekend

Head down to your local LEGO Store this weekend and you’ll be able to make a free UFO model and then take your build home with you.

The LEGO Group’s decision to go all in on space-based sets in 2024 certainly seems to be working, with multiple themes involved and even a dedicated out-of-this-world CMF in the shape of 71046 Series 26. Space-related releases have included City, Technic, Friends, Art, LEGO DREAMZzz and Icons models, ranging from small polybags right up to the massive 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System.

If you’re looking for more intergalactic brick-building, then just head down to your local LEGO Store this weekend. Retail locations will be hosting a special make and take event over the next two days, with visitors able to construct a free UFO model, complete with striking lightning bolt display stand.

LEGO Stores in the UK and Europe will be hosting the events, which take place from 10am to 12pm on May 18 and then again on May 19 from 12pm to 2pm. A limited quantity of the LEGO UFO builds will be available each day on a first come first serve basis, while stocks last.

While you’re in the store and browsing the shelves, you could also take the opportunity to fill in any gaps in your 71046 Series 26 collection by using the Brick Search app. The latest CMF features scannable QR-style codes on the blind box packaging, but Brick Search can easily identify exactly what’s inside each one.
