Two LEGO Store make and take events announced for October 2024

Visitors to their local LEGO Stores in October will be able to pick up two different free mini-builds in the same month, including a spooky seasonal model.

With cooler months now rolling in, you might be tempted to just stay at home and not bother popping out to browse shops in person. However, there might be a good reason to sling on your jacket and brave the Autumnal weather this October, thanks to two upcoming LEGO Store make and take events.

For starters, there’s the chance to score a free LEGO Gaming Controller, with the colourful brick-built model up for grabs in the UK and Europe from 10am to 12pm on October 5 and then again on October 6 from 12pm to 2pm.

Those in the US and Canada will also be able to make their own copy of the LEGO Gaming Controller on October 13 from 12pm to 2pm, with a limited quantity of the freebie available on a first come first serve basis, while stocks last.

In addition, a second make and take event will be coming to LEGO Stores in the US and Canada this month. Visitors to participating retail locations can get their hands on a LEGO Halloween Spider for free from 12pm to 2pm on October 27, so just in time for the spookiest day of the year.

Speaking of scary seasonal builds, 40697 Halloween Pumpkin is currently available as a GWP until October 14, with the 254-piece promotional model free with purchases of  £110 / $120 / €120 and over. That’s accompanied by 40728 Brite Bomber, which is valid for all Insiders orders above £80 / $90 / €90 until October 3, after which time the LEGO Fortnite set will be available for all to purchase.
