LEGO wants you to apply stickers off-centre in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger

A LEGO Graphic Designer behind 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger has a warning for excited fans – don't apply some stickers correctly.

LEGO sets with stickers usually task fans with making sure that the adhesive designs are carefully positioned to be as central to the element they're going on as possible. There are various tips and tricks to improve your chances of placing stickers as perfectly as possible, but all of that knowledge needs to be temporarily forgotten when it comes to part of 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger.

The new LEGO The Simpsons set intentionally has fans place two stickers entirely off-centre, which is extremely unusual for an official LEGO model.

"We were aware that Krusty has a very, his eyes are a little crazy looking and sort of bug-eyed, so getting that look was something that we felt was best done with stickers," explained Nathan Davis during the LEGO Group's Fan Media days event last year to Bricksie.

The argument can be made that the LEGO designers would have been able to just as easily shift the black dot to the left and right on a sticker or opting to allow fans to place the sticker in the centre of the circular tile, as is usually the case, but that's not what was decided for the final product.

The instructions are confirmed to show the stickers applied off-centre, and we can only hope that this placement is made clear for experienced fans who have applied hundreds before they apply them correctly for a LEGO set, but inaccurately for The Simpsons.

"We had a few, let's say heated discussions, but we felt that this was the best way to ensure that you have some amount of control over it and it's not going to look like you've just got a dot in the middle of a white circle that's offset and looks like a misprint."

That latter point is well-made, noting that an off-centre white dot sticker or tile might have been perceived as a misprint or misdesign of the eye in 77071 Supply Llama. The new design also couldn't directly reuse that printed eye, since the dot is intended to be off-centre on Krusty's face.

A sticker is arguably the best way to go about Krusty's eyes, with the Fortnite set on shelves at the same time, but fans will need to be sure they read the instructions carefully. LEGO stickers aren't removed and placed on again easily, or at least to the same effect.

Whatever the case, you have been warned to place these stickers off-centre as intended when 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger is launched on June 1, 2025, for £179.99 / $209.99 / €199.99. LEGO Insiders will receive three days of early access to the set while everyone else can pick it up starting from June 4.
