LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer released today

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer is now available to everyone on wide release at the official LEGO online shop. Following in the style of 75192 Millennium Falcon, the Dark Lord's imposing Imperial vessel is getting the modern UCS treatment. Using 4,784 bricks and measuring 110cm long, the set promises to be a display piece worthy of the Empire. The set is specifically inspired by the Devastator. A mini Tantive IV ship will allow fans to recreate the unforgettable opening of A New Hope, that sees the smaller vessel swallowed by the behemoth. Brick Fanatics provides first impressions of 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer. This new release even has celebrity fans, with David Beckham reportedly in the market for one. The first collectors to get it visited the LEGO Store Leicester Square for a preview event  two weeks ago on Sunday, September 15. Today has also seen the release of LEGO Technic 42110 Land Rover Defender and LEGO Creator Expert 10267 Gingerbread House. No detail was overlooked in the development of this iconic starship, as LEGO Model Designer Henrik Andersen explains in the designer video: “When I created the set I noticed on the photos that in the movie the Tractor Beam antenna is up and in all of the photos it is down. So I tried to make it into a function so you can lower or raise the tractor beam antenna on the bridge of the Star Destroyer.”
