The LEGO Star Wars design team have revealed why this summer's new Galactic Marines minifigures are accompanied by a Turbo Tank rather than a UT-AT.

Following the upcoming set drawing criticisms for its structure and value, including in our in-depth review, a member of the LEGO Star Wars design team has revealed why 75413 Republic Juggernaut is the Turbo Tank, instead of an all-new vehicle for the theme.
"We decided to make the Republic Juggernaut because it is a very well-known and popular vehicle, as well as one of the very few in Star Wars with wheels," shared a member of the LEGO Star Wars team to Brickset. "These make it a fun model to play with for kids.
"The minifigures in the set we know have been highly requested, so we decided to add them to this set. Even though the troopers are not seen in Star Wars content with the Juggernaut, they could have used this vehicle. The UT-AT is an interesting vehicle, though, and for sure, one we can consider as a future set."
A UT-AT isn't necessarily off the table in LEGO Star Wars' future, but for play purposes and how well-known it is, it was decided that the Republic Juggernaut was the better fit. You can read our review for more insight on how playable the August 2025 model is.
This decision hasn't stopped one LEGO Star Wars fan from remixing the upcoming set into a UT-AT ahead of its release. Otherwise, you can prepare for the launch of the £139.99 / $159.99 / €149.99 set and its new minifigures right now. including by placing a pre-order before August 1, 2025.
