New LEGO Star Wars snowspeeder canopy piece is nearly perfect

The new LEGO Star Wars 2025 snowspeeder canopy piece is perfect for a standard snowspeeder, and you don't have to wait to see the results.

Despite the outlandish colour scheme of 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, its snowspeeder model is pristine, thanks in no small part to the specially-designed canopy element that is making its debut in black and yellow. It's part of an overall transformation of the familiar snowspeeder design, and it's a huge improvement.

As mentioned in our review of the Rebuild the Galaxy model, the new canopy piece and the rest of the build would be perfect for a normal snowspeeder in a more familiar white colour scheme. At the time of writing, the canopy only comes in black and yellow, though.

Thankfully, we don't have to wait to see what the new piece would look like on a standard LEGO snowspeeder, thanks to iamwickedwicket on Instagram. They've taken the new element and coloured it white and grey with a digital edit, then placed it on top of 75259 Snowspeeder – 20th Anniversary Edition from 2019.

The result goes to show just how accurately shaped the new canopy is, rather than the LEGO Star Wars team having to settle for the older and more versatile element moving forward.

This doesn't change the fact that the canopy does not appear in this colour at the time of writing, but we can only hope that this concept will one day become a reality within LEGO Star Wars. For now, look forward to the release of 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder on August 1 for £44.99 / $54.99 / €49.99.
