The lack of new LEGO Star Wars sets in the trailer seems likely to be due to the production schedule of the animated feature and access to sets only currently or previously available at the time of the second season's creation. For the most part, this is fine, aside from one character who gets a significant upgrade in the trailer, but not the upgrade that you can buy as of earlier this month.
The second season of Rebuild the Galaxy features a retired K-2SO set, when a brand new one that would have worked just as well has recently launched. The closing shots of the trailer showcase the 75120 K-2SO constraction figure as an antagonist, which was retired in 2017.
