LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy set showcased in new short

A new animated LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy short shines a spotlight on 75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up's unique feature.

LEGO Star Wars fans have plenty of reasons to rejoice today, with the long-awaited arrival of no less than nine new sets available to pick up. Three of those models spin out of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy special due to drop on Disney+ on September 13, offering up original takes on existing builds from a galaxy far, far away.

While 75389 The Dark Falcon has already been the focus of one animated short, today sees the arrival of a second video that this time shines a spotlight on 75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up. The X-wing vs TIE Fighter: Celebrate the Season short demonstrates the model's ability for alternate takes on familiar craft, with the pilots of both vehicles taking turns flying each other's mismatched rides.

One of the new LEGO Star Wars releases for August 1, 75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up offers up a pair of brick-built ships that have removable wings allowing them to be transformed into alternate craft. The 1,063-piece LEGO Star Wars set is available right now, priced at £94.99 / $109.99 / €109.99.

While the tongue-in-cheek video is a useful way to show off the ships' unique play features, there are no other references to the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy special, so you'll have to wait until next month to really see them in action.
