Five LEGO Star Wars, Disney and Marvel sets to score both new GWPs

Two new LEGO gifts-with-purchase are now available to celebrate an anniversary and finish a collection, but only select sets will score you both.

Both 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie and 40599 Houses of the World 4 are available now with orders of £95 / $100 / €100 and £220 / $250 / €250, though the latter is exclusive to LEGO Insiders. While 40599 Houses of the World 4 is available with any LEGO orders made by LEGO Insiders, 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie is limited to only LEGO Disney (including Avatar), Star Wars and Marvel models.

Released for the 100th anniversary of Disney, these themes make sense but it makes the selection of sets to qualify for both notably smaller. Thankfully, these ranges have quite a few big builds to pick from.

76178 Daily Bugle is one of the biggest LEGO Marvel models currently available and features many exclusive minifigures. It's also one of the least expensive LEGO sets that qualifies for both gifts and just so happens to time well with the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

4 – 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina

Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,187

75290 Mos Eisley Cantina isn't just a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but a gathering place for many exclusive minifigures and even the rare Dewback piece. The iconic location is included as well as a speeder and an extra building to make your own Tatooine display.

3 – 76215 Black Panther

Price: £299.99 / $349.99 / €349.99 Pieces: 2,961

76215 Black Panther is in its final months until retirement and while this model is enough to score both gifts in the UK and Europe, a 40% sale in the US will necessitate $40.01 more of LEGO Disney, Marvel or Star Wars models to get both gifts.

2 – 43222 Disney Castle

Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 4,837

Considering 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie's relation to the 100th anniversary, 43222 Disney Castle is arguably one of the best builds to qualify for it and will display great alongside it too. It's also expensive enough to net you the extra GWP as well.

Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,292

Scheduled to retire at the end of 2023, as long as it doesn't sell out before then, 75309 Republic Gunship qualifies for both LEGO gifts and will let you catch up on the Ultimate Collector Series LEGO Star Wars sets at the same time.
