Brick Fanatics' Matthew got to sit down for a chat with LEGO Star Wars designer César Soares to talk about his brick-based career so far.
If the name César Soares isn't already known to you, you definitely know his work. Just a few of the sets under his belt include 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina, 75331 The Razor Crest, and 75419 Death Star – and we're really only naming a few.
He's a fountain of knowledge when it comes to all things LEGO Star Wars, having played an instrumental role in some of the theme's most iconic models. Brick Fanatics' Matthew had the chance to pick his brain about 75419 Death Star and some oldie-but-goldie Star Wars LEGO builds. César took him on a trip down memory lane, touching on some of the biggest lessons that 75331 The Razor Crest taught him, and how 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina started out as a dust-covered side build on his desk.
Click the embedded video below to join Matthew and César for a chat about his favourite sets, the unlikely way 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina came to be, and what the LEGO designer thinks about the fan reception to 75419 Death Star.
