Travel through every inch of the 9,023-piece LEGO Star Wars UCS 75419 Death Star in our visual tour and full galleries.
Due for release on October 1 for LEGO Insiders and from October 4 for everyone else, 75419 Death Star will make history as the most expensive LEGO set ever released. Retailing at £899.99 in the UK, $999.99 in the US and from €999.99 in Europe, the LEGO Star Wars UCS set is made up of 9,023 pieces and stands 70cm tall, 79cm wide, and 29cm deep. It boasts 38 minifigures to flesh out the enormous structure.
Put simply, there's a lot to take in. We've broken down every inch of the build, inside and out, in our visual tour and full set of galleries below.
LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star build
It goes without saying that 75419 Death Star will require a mighty build. It offers a slice of the Imperial war machine, with the outer rim depicting the exterior of the space station, complete with the Superlaser, built as if mid-attack. The back of the set is not geared towards display, with 75419 Death Star clearly meant to be displayed in only one direction.
The interior is not built to scale, but instead links together various smaller dioramas to take you through every major event that takes place on the space station in the original trilogy. It blends both the first and second Death Stars, featuring scenes from Episode IV: A New Hope, as well as climactic final moments from Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star dioramas
Looking at those scenes in more detail, there's plenty to absorb. Working from bottom to top, 75419 Death Star travels from the hangar, complete with a brick-built Imperial shuttle, through the corridors and prison cells, past the trash compactor and control room, into an Imperial conference room and the Emperor's throne room at the top.
That leaves room to recreate most, if not all, scenes you'll remember from the Death Star in the films – in no small part thanks to the mammoth number of minifigures included in the set.
LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star minifigures
75419 Death Star breaks another record in featuring the most minifigures ever in any one set: a grand total of 38. Some of those are duplicates of course, with no less than six Stormtroopers included – as well as one Hot Tub Stormtrooper.
There are also three versions of Luke Skywalker, representing him at different stages of his journey, two of Han Solo, and a few Imperial staff duos of Death Star Gunners, Imperial Crew Members, Imperial Navy Trooper, and Imperial Royal Guards.
31 of the characters featured have been seen as minifigures before, while seven are making their debut: Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Galen Erso, the Imperial Dignitary, 5D6-RA-7, R3-T6, and the Hot Tub Stormtrooper.
LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star Easter eggs
For a set that promises 'Easter eggs to delight every fan' in the press release, there are a few to take in even from the early pictures, and we'd expect still more when you get hands-on to build it. From an early look, there are references to fan-favourite comedic scenes, like Han Solo's 'we're all fine here now' subterfuge, the Hot Tub Stormtroopers, as seen in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and a Minikit slotted into the back of the set that can be seen in the 360-degree video.
75419 Death Star will make history upon its launch on October 1, 2025, retailing at £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99.
