Following weeks of unavailability, LEGO Star Wars 75308 R2-D2 is finally rolling back on to virtual store shelves in the UK.
This year’s May the Fourth set dropped out of stock at LEGO.com on May 9, just days after the annual Star Wars promo season wrapped up. Given the number of freebies available across that shopping weekend, though – including 40451 Tatooine Homestead – it’s no wonder LEGO fans snapped up every last copy of the iconic astromech.
While 75308 R2-D2 is still out of stock stateside, it’s now back and available to order at LEGO.com in the UK. You’ll need to spend £179.99 to bring it home, but as you can read in our detailed review, it’s very much worth that price tag – even while form precedes function, because this is a display model deserving of your coveted shelf space.
The droid’s return to LEGO.com in the UK means it also returns to Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, our daily rundown of the very best LEGO sets available to buy right now. It comes back in at a very respectable 13th place, as the fourth Star Wars set on the roster. Fingers crossed it’ll stay there longer than nine days this time…
