LEGO Star Wars 75159 Death Star suffers disaster – but not because of Luke

One builder's presentation of LEGO Star Wars 75159 Death Star has hit a bit too close to the original source material.

While presenting his freshly-built 75179 Death Star to the camera on TikTok, a model that apparently took two weeks to put together, Benji Kaufman's joy quickly turns to a pile of LEGO bricks. A woman, presumably his partner, barges into the room, slamming a door into the newly-made LEGO Death Star.

Benji, who goes by benjikaufs on TikTok, then spent a full ten seconds just staring at the ruin of his build. While we feel for Benji, it does lend itself to quite an amusing watch.

At the end of the commotion, Benji is left with only one small part of the lowest level of 75179 Death Star. Viewers in the comments were quick to commiserate with him, with one writing: 'I'm not even a LEGO fan and I nearly cried'.

Another tried to see the positive side of the situation: 'She was just giving you the opportunity to enjoy building it a second time on a higher difficulty level is all.'

75179 Death Star is now retired so Benji is lucky to have his hands on the set – even if it's now broken into its over 4,000 pieces all over the floor. Still, at least he got over 200,000 likes out of the disaster.
