The LEGO Spider-Man: No Way Home set combo can be even better

Exactly how 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle and 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle combine has been revealed with a tip to make it better.

A new LEGO Marvel set launching in just a couple of weeks, 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle, combines with 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle for an expended Spider-Man: No Way Home set with the entire cast of characters.

How this combination feature has been designed has now been shared thanks to an early copy found by MiniSuperHeroesToday.

The sandman figure clicks into place where the smaller hand from 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle is located, but the figure can only sit at a small range of angles, limiting the display possibilities of the combination model.

As simple as the combination is to recreate using both sets, the limited posing opportunities are an unfortunate side effect of the small space available in the LEGO Statue of Liberty's head. Thankfully, two easy-to-find elements can fix this without issue.

Adding a pair of standard LEGO pieces to the bottom of the Sandman figure before placing it into the main model and removing the round element from the base of the figure allows it to sit high enough in the head to spin around, greatly increasing options for display.

Official images showcasing the intended combination have the Sandman figure emerging from the head as well as the extra portal and yellow structure from 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle. The instructions for the 2024 set do not reveal how they are intended to be attached but there is seemingly a way to connect more of the upcoming set to the other No Way Home creation.

For now, there's not long left to wait until 76280 Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle releases on January 1, 2024, and 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle is available now in stores and online. There are plenty of other LEGO Marvel sets launching next month too, all of which are summarised here.
