The newest LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog model calls back to original Ideas project 

76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot has been revealed, calling back to the original LEGO Ideas project that helped start the theme. 

Three years after LEGO Dimensions’ Sonic the Hedgehog level and minifigure, Viv Grannell proposed a full model based on the Blue Blur, including a familiar robot. 

While the final design for 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone never managed to include the Death Egg Robot, this has finally been resolved with 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot. 

Grannell has been sent a copy of all five LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets, including 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot, bringing their LEGO Ideas journey full circle. 

You can pick up a copy of 76993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot on August 1 for £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99, alongside the other four Sonic the Hedgehog sets. 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone is still available too, now listed under the Sonic the Hedgehog theme, despite being a LEGO Ideas set.
