LEGO remixes massive models with a familiar space twist

It's clear that the LEGO Group is going all-in on space sets this year, but they've now suggested remixing official models with a familiar space twist.

The LEGO Group is encouraging you to get creative with some currently available models on Instagram, including the likes of 10307 Eiffel Tower, 10313 Wildflower Bouquet and 31150 Wild Safari Animals. The proposal is to add rockets and wings to these official builds, turning them into spacefaring versions of the official sets.

Some of their suggestions are going to be easier to pursue than others as 10307 Eiffel Tower is 149cm tall with over 10,000 pieces. At that size, it might not be easy to suspend the majority of the massive build, though it's evidently possible.

Also featured in the post with similarly unique space remixes are 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure, 21335 Motorised Lighthouse and 60404 Burger Truck.

The post explains how you can create the visual effect pictured in each of their remixes, using light and cotton to replicate spoke in a launch sequence. This is not a new idea and was previously used to make an impressive display for 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V.
