New LEGO Pick a Brick service available from tomorrow

Following a recent merging of two separate systems, the LEGO Group’s new Pick a Brick service will be available in some territories from tomorrow.

We recently reported that the LEGO Group would be merging its Pick a Brick and Bricks and Pieces services into one streamlined offering.  Previously two separate services, the combined systems will now fall under a new Pick a Brick storefront which launches in the UK, Netherlands, Germany and France tomorrow.

The idea behind the merger is to provide customers with a unified shopping experience, rather than having to switch between two different services. Pick a Brick will offer a complete catalogue of available elements all in one place, with reduced shipping times in the US. The 1,600 bestselling LEGO items will be with American customers in just five working days, down from 13-18 working days.

There will be a minimum spend for all orders and if this is met then customers won’t have to pay any handling charges. If not, an additional service and handling fee will be applied, as well as postage costs depending on your location. As an extra bonus, all parts orders count towards gift-with-purchase spend levels, providing another incentive for purchasing items from the new Pick a Brick service.

Also available will be two new features, a Pick and Build hub and an online version of the Build a Minifigure stations seen in LEGO stores. The latter will initially only be available in Europe and Asia, using LEGO pieces from 2019 and 2020.

We’ll have a better idea of exactly what the revised Pick a Brick service looks like, including potential customer costs, parts options and new features, when it goes live in the UK, Netherlands, Germany and France on February 7.
