LEGO One Piece's second wave was revealed at the best time

The six new LEGO One Piece sets were revealed last week, at precisely the perfect time to coincide with the start of the latest arc in the anime.

As Netflix's One Piece series was confirmed to receive six more LEGO sets last week, the One Piece anime was just starting the Elbaph arc of the story. This has created an ideal coincidence for the LEGO Group in which the Straw Hat crew are exploring a kingdom made of building blocks.

One look at the previews for the first two episodes in the kingdom reveals a clear allusion to LEGO elements, since the Elbaph arc is inspired by Nordic themes. As a Danish company, there's some logic to referencing the LEGO Group in some way, as was done in the manga.

Without spoiling anything specific, you can recreate these scenes like no other theme can by adding the One Piece minifigures to your LEGO collection and walking around it.

It all makes for a fun coincidence that these new sets were revealed so close to the debut of the kingdom in the anime. There's an even more perfect opportunity as part of this partnership for the Netflix series, should it get as far as the Elbaph arc.
