LEGO One Piece rumour spells mixed news for Ideas fans

Rumour of a LEGO One Piece theme next year spells mixed news for many enthusiasts on LEGO Ideas, possibly beating them to the punch.

Recent rumours from 4.chan user Kramer via the usually reliable Clay Bricks on Instagram claim that August 2025 will see the arrival of a LEGO One Piece theme based on the Netflix adaptation aside from possibly one set.

Every LEGO One Piece set rumoured for 2025

75639 TBC$129.991,376August 2025
75640 TBC$299.993,402August 2025

This rumour remains exactly that at the time of writing and should be taken with caution, but it comes just after the start of a LEGO Ideas challenge, resulting in a massive model based on a franchise from the '90s, of which One Piece is eligible. Soon after the contest started (and continuing since), many enthusiasts have proposed One Piece submissions (and those of other anime series).

Should this rumour be accurate, the One Piece submissions in this contest likely don't stand a chance of getting a LEGO Ideas set – even based on the anime – as such a project would certainly compete with the official offerings. On the one hand, it would be bad news for these users for this reason but on the other, at least there would be LEGO One Piece sets to fulfil their desires.

Whatever happens next, there is a genuine chance – via the rumour and the LEGO Ideas challenge – of official brick-built One Piece models in the future but it's unlikely that both will be able to exist. Take the rumour with caution for now until more details are confirmed.
