LEGO says ‘we’re not done’ with Two-Face after skipping him in Arkham

The LEGO Group is 'not done' with Two-Face, even if he doesn't appear in the upcoming LEGO DC 76300 Arkham Asylum.

LEGO Super Heroes Design Lead Jesper C. Nielsen has confirmed that we haven't seen the end of the most recent iteration of Two-Face, even if the Batman villain was skipped over in the upcoming 76300 Arkham Asylum. Although there are a number of DC villains included in the set – Mr. Freeze, the Riddler, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Bane, the Joker, the Penguin, and Killer Croc – Two-Face doesn't make an appearance – but he was considered.

“We had him in," said Jesper while speaking to AshnFlash in an interview. "He had just come out in a different SKU. We’ve got Two-Face and a super-awesome version.”

The designer went on to say that the Nolan version of the character wouldn’t translate well here – presumably due to the gruesome look we get at the burned side of his face – but that 'Two-Face is covered in a different universe.' Nielsen concluded that ‘we’re not done with that piece’, referring to the one-sided hair piece that you see in 76303 Batman Tumbler vs. Two-Face & The Joker.

This version is one of the most realistic depictions of Two-Face we've had in minifigure form, with half of his hair burned off, rather than simply in two different colours as we've seen before. It's heartening for DC fans that we haven't seen the last of him – even if he isn't included in 76300 Arkham Asylum.

You can pick up 76300 Arkham Asylum for yourself when it launches on September 9, retailing at £269.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.
