LEGO NINJAGO teased for Fortnite, but not how fans thought

LEGO NINJAGO has likely been teased for a future Fortnite collaboration, just not in the way that most fans were expecting in Chapter 7.

After spotting a suspicious pair of nunchucks in the teaser for the seventh chapter of Fortnite, fans online used past rumours to speculate that NINJAGO would be coming to the game soon. Though this pickaxe has now been confirmed to be part of a different character not connected to NINJAGO, logging in to the game after the latest update will reveal some good news.

Players delving into LEGO Fortnite Odyssey this morning have spotted a massive dragon flying above their world, and it closely resembles an existing NINJAGO set. We'd also note that an odd object soaring above an Odyssey world is how Star Wars' collaboration with LEGO Fortnite was teased.

Based on the wings and the overall colour scheme, there's little doubt that this dragon is based on that of 71822 Source Dragon of Motion. Following the year of rumours that NINJAGO would be coming to Fortnite in some form, this is the first official indicator that something is coming.

Nothing more is confirmed or teased in-game, though there are reports of other dragons being spotted. No other dragons have been recorded at the time of writing, but we know for certain that there's at least the red one flying around.

The current LEGO Pass is scheduled to end on December 11, after which a new pass filled with cosmetics will need to start to last over Christmas and into early 2026, when NINJAGO will start celebrating its 15th anniversary. We'll let you know of any other signs that NINJAGO is coming to Fortnite as they become available.
