LEGO NINJAGO 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine's secrets revealed

LEGO NINJAGO 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine's secrets revealed

Ahead of its launch in March, an early review has offered a look at every secret and detail inside LEGO NINJAGO 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine.

The first review of 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine by Bricks by Mind has surfaced online before its release in a larger wave on March 1 for £104.99 / $119.99 €119.99. The 1,212-piece model is significantly more displayable than other LEGO NINJAGO 2024 sets revealed so far and this early look at the model has revealed the various secrets and details within the set. This includes one reference aimed at longtime NINJAGO enthusiasts.

The review highlights some koi fish swimming around in the water using existing printed pieces that have appeared everywhere from LEGO Icons to LEGO Friends. The bottom floor of the interior features various scrolls, a golden statuette and a crystal using the same element in the same colour as Chi from Legends of Chima. This may be a reference to Lord Ras being from the same realm as Chima, or just an interesting piece used as decoration.

Underneath the rocky floor, the Teapot of Tyrahn from the Skybound chapter of NINJAGO can be found. Bricks by Mind explains that this is a reference to LEGO designer Lee Chi Wing's favourite season of the series. Those who have watched recent seasons of the show will also know that it has a habit of appearing everywhere, likely still filled with a displeased Djinn.

The minifigures are showcased too, including the exclusive Master Wu and Euphrasia minifigures. Wu's torso and legs appear to be brand new unlike his minifigure in 71797 Destiny's Bounty – Race Against Time. This suggests that the character could be returning to NINJAGO after going missing and calling out to the ninja after the Merge.

Various stickers in 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine are showcased too, including a couple that may be important to the story of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Season 2 and what may be our first look at a rumoured massive LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 set, though that rumour has yet to be confirmed.

Out of the stickers, the paper that Lloyd holds reads 'Invited' in Ninjargon (the language used in NINJAGO), which could tie into the rumoured Tournament sets reported for summer 2024.

The more limited play features of 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine are showcased too as well as a custom display stand that is not included with the retail version of the model.

71819 Dragon Stone Shrine launches on March 1 for £104.99 / $119.99 €119.99 alongside a few other new NINJAGO sets. Don't forget that a new and canon Skybound Entertainment comic is coming this year too, tying into the upcoming second season. The new season starts in April.
